Drever International S.A. success met in production of the first coil at ILVA Cornigliano CGL N°3 furnace in Italy
| According to customer's reports, the first coil processed in CGL N°3 furnace at ILVA Cornigliano, Italy, on September 21st, 2009 was a success. The furnace is a vertical, all radiant tubes furnace, fitted with high efficiency On/Off burners and equipped with a preheating section and with an energy saving system capable of recovering all the remaining heat in exhaust gases. This energy is used to heat up pressurised hot water at a rate matching that of the line consumption. After annealing, the strip is processed in a highly efficient Rapid Cooling Section. Drever also supplied the cooling tower after the coating section. The equipment is designed to process CQ, DQ, DDQ, EDDQ and DP grades at a maximum production rate of 86 tons/hour. The line processes low carbon steel with a thickness range of 0.25 to 1.6 mm and a width range of 800 to 1,650 mm. Ilva is a member of the RIVA Group. |
